Global oil and gas organisation the Industry Technology Facilitator (ITF) is offering up to 100% funding for innovative solutions which address the challenges of dealing with produced-fluid management.
Aberdeen-based ITF is calling on technology developers, academics and research centres to engage with oil and gas operator members and discuss the issue at a technology-challenge workshop in the Hilton Aberdeen Treetops on Wednesday, August 18.
The workshop will result in the issuing of a global call for proposals, with up to 100% funding available plus the innovator’s retention of intellectual property rights for successful projects which tackle the required technology needs.
ITF is a not-for-profit organisation owned by 24 major operator and service companies.
Over 10 years, it has been responsible for delivering more than 150 joint industry projects with direct member funding of more than £50million.
ITF managing director Neil Poxon said: “Our members have identified produced-fluid management as an ongoing international challenge that has a big impact on production output.
“This collaboration between operators and technology developers will kick-start the process of finding ground-breaking solutions to this costly issue.
“I’d urge any organisations working in this field to come along and get involved as the discussions of the day will form a call for innovative technologies.”
