INTERNATIONAL engineering and project-management company AMEC has landed a multimillion-pound Middle East deal.
The two-year engineering and project-management service contract was awarded by BP Sharjah for its onshore gas sites in Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates.
The contract, which starts immediately, has two one-year extension options.
AMEC’s work will include providing engineering studies, front-end engineering design and detailed design, project management and construction management for BP Sharjah’s assets including the Kahaif, Moveyid and Sajaa gas fields and the Sajaa gas plant.
This contract follows similar contracts awarded by BP Sharjah to AMEC in recent years.

“It also strengthens our capability in the Middle East and north Africa through the continued development of our engineering and project-management services in the region.”
