NEARLY 1,000 people attended the third annual Press and Journal Energy Ball at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.
The turnout was more than 100 ahead of last year, which delighted organisers.
Twenty chefs from the in-house catering team produced and served more than 900 top-class meals for the venue’s biggest dinner so far this year.
The entertainment came courtesy of Turriff and District Pipe Band, Ellon singer Kim Anderson and Macduff-born singer-songwriter Sandi Thom, who cruised on to the dance floor on the back of a motorcycle.
The Magic of Motown show also got everyone buzzing as the talented group wowed the crowd with the music of the Jackson 5, the Temptations, the Four Tops and many more.
Profits from the event will go to three charities: Dreams Come True, Scottish Mountain Rescue and the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland.
