AN OIL company which has its headquarters in Aberdeen has been named as one of the best companies to work for in the UK for the third year running.
Marathon Oil UK received the recognition at the Top 100 Best Companies to Work For ceremony, held in London this week.
The operator, which is based at Rubislaw Hill and last year celebrated 25 years in the North Sea, was named the 60th best company to work for in the mid-sized category.
Employees from participating organisations are independently surveyed and their feedback is used to compile a list of the best companies to work for. Other firms listed included PSN and Nexen.
Staff who work on Marathon’s three Brae platforms, and in its Aberdeen, Peterhead and London offices took part in the survey.
Mike Horgan, Marathon’s UK resident manager, said: “We are thrilled to have been listed as one of the best companies to work for in the UK for a third consecutive year. This recognition is testament to the hard work and dedication shown by our teams operating throughout the UK.
“For us, the most important factor in this survey is the feedback we get from our staff and, as in past years, we will use this feedback to establish what we are getting right and where we need to improve, to ensure Marathon continues to be a company that people want to work for.”
