ENERGY-SECTOR supply-chain specialist 80:20 Procurement Services, of Aberdeen, aims to grow its workforce and achieve turnover of £10million after a raft of contract wins.
The firm, which purchases low-cost oil and gas industry goods and equipment on behalf of clients, said yesterday it was looking to recruit at least six experienced procurement professionals to add to its current team of 14.
It is also planning to increase the size of its current premises at East Tullos Industrial Estate.
The expansion drive comes hard on the heels of recent contract agreements with BP Exploration Operating Company, BIS Salamis and Technip.
Director Tony Bannon, who founded 80:20 in 2004 with fellow director Paul Dorward, said he was confident it could increase turnover by 160% within two years.
The business achieved record turnover of £3.8million in the year to March 2009, compared with £1.8million in 2007-08.
A figure of £4.5million is anticipated for 2009-10, but that is expected to rocket to at least £10million in 2011 as a result of recent deals.
Mr Bannon said: “We are looking to take on experienced procurement professionals following recent contract wins and the prospect of further agreements with companies in the oil and gas sector.
“It is likely we will also look to increase the size of our current premises in the next 12 months.”
