ENERGY-SERVICE firm Apollo Offshore Engineering, of Aberdeen, said yesterday it had appointed a support director to boost its developing engineering capability and industry profile.
The new board member is Steve Leaper, who joins the firm after senior management positions with marine operations support provider ETPM and engineering consultant Prospect Flow Solutions.
In his new role, he will be responsible for the development of Apollo’s engineering and management support systems.
Apollo managing director Jonathan D’Arcy said the appointment would help the firm towards its forecast target of £4million turnover and a 40-strong engineering workforce by 2014.
He added: “With a decade of ground-up business management experience and a track record of proactive business process development, Steve is well placed to help operations director Ryan Menzies maximise Apollo’s ability to safely meet the engineering needs of a key client list that now includes the likes of Subsea 7, Stena Drilling and EnerMech.”
Mr Leaper said: “I’m delighted to be joining Apollo at this exciting phase in its development and look forward to helping Jonathan and Ryan meet Apollo’s business targets.”
