Apache has agreed a long-term contract for use of the newly-built platform supply vessel M/V Blue Fighter for work in the North Sea starting next week.
The PX121 design vessel was delivered by Ulstein to its subsidiary Blue Ship Invest on January 19 and was contracted for use by Apache shortly after.
Remøy Shipping has technical and commercial management of the vessel, now on its way to Aberdeen where it will load before going to the field.
Blue Fighter will be stationed in Peterhead.
The ship has a length of 83.4metres and a beam of 18metres. It has a cargo deck of 875sqm and a load capacity of 4,200 tonnes (dwt).
It has a maximum speed of about 15 knots and accommodation for 24 persons.
