Tullow Oil’s Enyenra-3A appraisal well has confirmed an updip extension of the Enyenra light oil field on the Deepwater Tano Block offshore Ghana.
Kosmos Energy, one of operator Tullow’s partners in the project, has said that full analysis of well results, including wireline logs, reservoir pressures, and fluid samples indicate that the Enyenra-3A well encountered 17m (56ft) of 35-degree API gravity oil. It said that pressure data from the high-quality reservoirs intersected suggest a continuous oil column of over 365m (nearly 1,200ft).
There is also static pressure communication between the Enyenra-3A well with both the Owo-1 discovery well and the Enyenra-2A appraisal well. The Enyenra-3A wellsite is approximately 6.5km north of Owo-1 and 14km north of Enyenra-2A.
