Aberdeen-based integrated production data service specialist Aventa Systems said yesterday it had enjoyed a good start to 2012 with two significant contract wins.
The firm, which specialises in providing data systems to the global oil and gas industry, has been awarded work worth a combined value of more than £600,000 with energy companies Talisman Energy (UK) and Hess.
The work with Talisman will see Aventa assist the oil and gas operator with the implementation of a new hydrocarbon accounting system, in addition to providing enhancements to existing applications.
The contract with Hess will involve Aventa providing metering and allocation engineering, with support for the energy firm’s UK and Denmark production data management systems.
The contracts, which will run throughout 2012, are said to provide a strong platform from which Aventa can invest in its ambitious growth initiatives.
The firm, which has 12 staff, is investigating the possibility of establishing a satellite office in Norway.
Managing director Bill Whibley said: “The securing of these projects heralds the start of another exciting chapter for Aventa as we look to enter new geographical markets, develop our own products and expand our workforce in the coming months.”
