TV star Lucy Lawless, with environmental group Greenpeace, have tried to stop the Shell-contracted drillship Noble Discoverer from departing Auckland, New Zealand, to drill offshore Alaska.
Lawless, a native New Zealander and star of the TV show Spartacus (before that the star of Xena, Warrior Princess) climbed the drillship’s derrick and occupied it with six other Greenpeace activists.
