Transocean said yesterday it had extended a deal with operator Nexen for a rig in the North Sea.
The contractor said it had extended a deal for the GSF Arctic III rig until the end of the year, at a rate of nearly £200,000 per day.
Transocean also said it had signed contracts for two other rigs. The Deepwater Expedition will work for an unidentified client for two years at a day rate of £410,000, while the Discoverer Seven Seas will work for Eni in Indonesia for six months at £281,000.
