Aberdeen-based oil and gas service firm Zilift said yesterday it had appointed its first chairman.
The artificial-lift specialist said Stuart Ferguson, a consultant who advises oil firms on developing, commercialising and selling technology, had joined the board of directors.
He previously spent nine years at Weatherford International, latterly as chief technology officer and senior vice-president of reservoir and production.
He has also worked with Expro International, Petroline Wellsystems and BP in the past.
Zilift chief executive Iain Maclean said: “Having someone of Stuart’s knowledge and industry stature on Zilift’s board is very important to us. He brings with him a sterling reputation, a wealth of industry experience and will be a valuable director and adviser as we develop and commercialise our technologies.”
Zilift, which was established in 2010, employs 28 people at its Bridge of Don headquarters.
