Fugro Geoteam has signed a letter of award with the Canadian arm of Statoil to carry out a 3D seismic acquisition offshore Newfoundland at a cost of around $40million.
The company said the survey will be undertaken using one of its C-Class seismic vessels and that it is scheduled to be shot during Q2 and Q3 this year.
It did not specify the location, but the Flemish Pass Basin is likely.
