Eco Atlantic Oil & Gas sees huge opportunities offshore Namibia, having just received the results of an independent study that confirm the company’s hunch about blocks 2213A and 2213B (Sharon block). The P50 best estimate is 7.79billion barrels of potential oil resources.
More than 600km of 2D seismic data acquired by WesternGeco over the Sharon block has produced two leads that are interpreted as sealed structures and identified as the “North Structure” and the “Wedge”. Sealed means that there is a chance that hydrocarbons may be trapped in sediments beneath an impermeable cap
The Sharon Block covers 10,000sq km and is situated within the Walvis Basin offshore Namibia. Eco Atlantic holds 70% working interest in partnership with Azimuth holding 20%, and Namcor, with 10% carried interest.
