Fast-growing Senergy Development Solutions of Aberdeen expects to see its headcount grow from the current tally of 22, including consultants, to more than 100 over the next two years.
The firm anticipates creating at least 30 further jobs by the end of the current year alone covering engineering disciplines such as process, structural, and subsea as well as project management.
SDS has grown rapidly since Senergy launched the division last August and says it has established a wide portfolio of UK North Sea clients, as well as successfully supporting international expansion with projects in Norway, Denmark, Kuala Lumpar and the Middle East.
The client portfolio includes major blue chip and international operators, national oil companies (NOCs), leading services companies and independents.
To help drive growth, Senergy has brought a further director on board in the shape of Rob Fisher.
His task is to underpin and lead SDS’s subsea, pipeline and construction management business and further build on the company’s track record in engineering and project management.
Fisher, who has spent the past 14 years with Technip, is a respected figure within the subsea community. He not only has a working knowledge of the subsea construction sector but also brings considerable experience of project integration from conceptual engineering through to construction and commissioning.
Among high-profile global developments that Fisher has played a pivotal part in is Total’s pioneering Islay project in the Northern North Sea (Energy February 2012) which saw pioneering technology breakthroughs, notably the world’s first subsea implementation of Technip’s reelable, electrically trace heated pipe-in-pipe (ETH-PIP) system to prevent blockages by hydrates and wax deposition.
He is also a non-executive director of the Industry Technology Facilitator (ITF).
