Aberdeen marine-technology company Nautronix has opened a new office in Stavanger, Norway.
The firm has named Jorn Berg as vice-president of sales for the country, which it sees as having huge growth potential for its products and services.
Mr Berg joins the company after more than 25 years in the oil and gas industry with past roles in sales, marketing and business development.
He said: “It is an excit-ing time to be joining Nautronix, with the development of new products and the interest that is being generated by the existing ones. I think the company is in a great position to target the Norwegian market and I look forward to being part of the team.”
Chief executive Mark Patterson added: “With the heightened activity in Norway and having well established offices in Houston and Rio de Janeiro, it made great sense to expand the company further and open a Nautronix entity in Norway.
“I feel that Jorn’s appointment has come at a great time – we are receiving a substantial number of inquiries from Norway and I have no doubts that Jorn will be able to generate even more leads and promote Nautronix and its products in the area.”
Nautronix specialises in subsea acoustic communication and positioning systems for the offshore industry.
