Litigation which has followed the Deepwater Horizon disaster in the US Gulf of Mexico comes under the spotlight today at an event in Aberdeen.
Around 100 delegates and speakers from the UK and Norway will look at how contractual issues would have been tackled under UK and Norwegian law and ask what lessons can be learned from three differing approaches.
The gathering at the Marcliffe Hotel is hosted by law firms Maclay Murray & Spens (MMS) and Thommessen. Their legal teams have reviewed the summary judgments in the Deepwater case to date and the findings will be presented at today’s event.
