Aberdeen-based oilfield service firm Expro said today it had won £6.15million worth of new contracts in Brazil and the North Sea.
The firm’s cableless telemetry system, CaTS, is to be used by two operators in Brazil for pressure and temperature data from four suspended deepwater subsea exploration and appraisal wells.
In addition, Expro’s advanced reservoir testing service will be used by the operators of two wells in the North Sea – one located west of Shetland and another in the central North Sea.
Brian Champion, CaTS sales director at Expro, said: “We are delighted with these contract awards, which mark a significant milestone in the industry’s recognition of the value offered by CaTS for advanced reservoir testing.
“I believe that these awards are the beginning of an accelerated market uptake of the CaTS technology in the exploration and appraisal stages of the well lifecycle.”
