A trade mission from the Falklands will be in Aberdeen next week to learn more about the north-east’s oil and gas sector.
Delegates from the south Atlantic islands will also discuss opportunities for closer working relationships with businesses in the region during the three-day visit from Tuesday.
The 30 Falklands business leaders were invited by Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce (AGCC), which has also arranged a series of briefing sessions for local companies to find out more about the islands’ energy policy.
Jon Woodwards, international director at AGCC, said the delegation would also include leaders in the Falklands’ fishing, shipping, transport and construction industries.
