North Sea explorer Antrim Energy said yesterday it was to acquire a 25% working interest and associated reserves in the Fyne licence in the UK North Sea.
Canada-based Antrim said its deal with First Oil Expro – “at no cost” and made under the terms of a joint operating agreement – would see its working interest in Fyne increase to 100%, pending approval from the Department of Energy and Climate Change. Antrim added: “This follows First Oil’s notice to the other partners in the licence of their intention to withdraw.”
