Aberdeen drilling contractor KCA Deutag has made chairman Norrie McKay its new chief executive as part of plans to double the business in the next five years.
Mr McKay, who joined the firm in October last year as executive chairman, succeeds Holger Temmen in the CEO role. Mr Temmen will leave KCA Deutag next month.
The change is part of KCA Deutag’s efforts to accelerate growth in the North Sea and globally in a strategic review of the firm’s opportunities over the next five years, Mr McKay said yesterday. Turnover last year was nearly £900million and the company is looking to double that figure over the next five years.
