Angela Knight, left, has been appointed chief executive of Energy UK, the new trade association for the energy sector.
She will take up the post in the summer after she steps down as chief executive of the British Bankers’ Association at the end of July.
Energy UK formed last month, bringing together 70 companies, from small electricity generators and services companies to large utilities.
