Energy service giant Petrofac said yesterday it had taken on another office in Aberdeen to accommodate its expanding workforce.
The firm said its offshore projects and operations (OPO) business had signed a 12-year lease for an office at Quattro House, Altens, the former Granite City headquarters of Agip and Eni.
The premises can accommodate up to 450 people and is in addition to Petrofac’s base at Bridge View, near the harbour.
The company said the expansion came after new contract wins and the development of existing customer agreements.
OPO managing director Bill Dunnett said: “Over the last few years we’ve seen our business go from strength to strength, resulting in the need for more people and more space.
“Aberdeen is the oil and gas capital of Europe and our expansion into another office in the city was a natural choice. We’re focused on delivering for our customers and taking on this new office ensures we can continue to do so as we grow.”
Petrofac employs 4,000 people in Aberdeen, among a 15,400-strong global workforce.
