Dana Petroleum has appointed Jim Mair as director of new business development to be based in Aberdeen.
He was previously with Shell.
Dana is looking to increase production to more than 100,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day by 2016.
Mr Mair has had a 30-year career with Shell, where he held senior roles in commercial services, finance and new business development.
Most recently he lead the E&P acquisition and divestments team and played a leading role in Shell’s corporate mergers and acquisitions activities.
