Oil & Gas UK has begun a search for outstanding performers.
Nominations for the Oil & Gas UK Awards 2012 are now being sought, with a closing date for entries of Friday, August 10.
The honours, sponsored by Shell UK, are presented across five categories.
Two recognise young professionals and young technicians.
Another award goes to experienced mentors. Two accolades are given to companies – one in recognition of a firm’s efforts in developing its staff, while the other rewards business efficiency and sustainability.
Oil & Gas UK’s chief executive Malcolm Webb said: “We are looking for exceptional talent in oil and gas.
“Young people are an absolutely vital part of this industry and there are many talented young people achieving great things. If you’re a top young professional or young technician, we want to hear from you.
“Likewise if you’re an experienced mentor who has put effort into developing others – please think about entering.
“Mentors pass on their valuable skills and experience to the next generation of talent and it’s important they are given due recognition.
“The company awards give businesses – regardless of their size or specialism – the chance to shine by demonstrating their excellence in people development or efficiency.
“It’s a real opportunity for talented organisations to take centre stage and showcase their exceptional and innovative practices.
“Above all, it’s the people that make this industry great and the Oil & Gas UK Awards is the definitive event for the entire industry to gather and celebrate its top performers.”
The awards are on Thursday, November 8, at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.
