Aberdeen-based Altor Risk Group said yesterday it planned to nearly triple turnover this year.
The emergency-response and risk-management consultant said it turned over more than £1.3million in 2011, its first full year in business.
The company, which employs 32 people, said it expected to take in £3.6million and double its workforce this year.
As well as its Aberdeen headquarters, Altor, which was set up by Jim Walker, also has offices in Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Perth, Australia.
Mr Walker said Altor had already become “a truly global business” in its short life.
Mr Walker previously founded Rubicon Response, which was bought by Petrofac in 2005.
He said yesterday: “While Altor is based on the strong foundations of our Rubicon heritage, it has a much wider and more comprehensive offering that is firmly focused on helping organisations develop robust resilience, prevention and response arrangements across their business.”
Altor also said yesterday it had promoted Matthew Wardner to director of services.
Mr Wardner joined the business as project manager last year.
He had previously spent more than 25 years in the armed forces.
