Dron and Dickson, a Scottish specialist in design, supply and maintenance of hazardous-area electrical equipment, said it had landed a new contract with a major operator worth £3million.
The three-year deal is for inspection and maintenance of electrical equipment on three of the unnamed client’s North Sea assets.
D&D will provide 12 electrical technicians for the contract.
Business-development manager Eric Florence said: “We are delighted to have won this work in such a competitive market.
“Dron and Dickson is now well established in the North Sea and we are using this experience to expand internationally. The company is already operating in Germany, Holland, Angola, Norway, Brazil and Algeria and recently opened a new base in Dubai.”
The firm employs more than 200 people offshore and onshore and has a network of UK bases in Aberdeen, Hull, Lowestoft and Stirling.
