Aberdeen diversified energy service firm Senergy has been awarded a deal worth up to £1.8million by the UK Government to examine ways of prolonging the production life of the North Sea oil and gas industry.
The three-year project, which has started, will support the work of the Department of Energy and Climate Change as it seeks to secure maximum recovery from oil and gas developments plus explore opportunities to access new reserves in technically challenging fields.
Les Coats, Senergy’s general manager for Europe, said: “This is a key piece of work in terms of prolonging the life of the UK North Sea.
“We will be drawing upon a variety of our technical and professional disciplines within Senergy to meet the remit of the contract and provide a detailed assessment of the challenges and opportunities as they exist.”
