Design and engineering business PD&MS Energy said yesterday it had appointed its first operations director.
The Aberdeen-based firm said it had taken on Norman Murray in response to increased demand for its services at home and abroad.
Mr Murray joins PD&MS from RDS Oil, a division of drilling contractor KCA Deutag, where he was a senior project manager.
PD&MS managing director Simon Rio said Mr Murray’s industry knowledge would benefit the company. “As our business continues to grow, it is important that we remain ahead of the game and put in place the right structure, resources and expertise to ensure we meet the demands of the increased workload head on,” he said.
Mr Murray said: “I’ve worked on many engineering projects across the industry over the years and know what’s required to deliver a successful programme.”
PD&MS, which employs 190 people, is part of the Teesside-based Wilton Group and has annual turnover of more than £30million.
