An Aberdeen-based business-management system firm has said it is expecting more than 100% turnover growth this year after announcing a major contract win with Babcock.
BusinessPort, which increased turnover by 30% to £2million last year, said the latest work with Babcock was worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.
It will see it providing its agility 2.0 business-management system to the firm’s Devonport Royal Dockyard base, the biggest naval base in the UK. The agility system combines process and document management with a risk-management and compliance control capability.
The Aberdeen firm has worked with Babcock for 13 years, at its Rosyth and HMNB Clyde bases.
BusinessPort chief executive Peter Shields said: “An experienced BusinessPort analyst initially worked with the client’s internal resource at Rosyth and HMNB Clyde to map the full suite of processes across the company. This proved to be a major success and both of these projects concluded with the provision of a business-management system that supports Babcock’s ultra-reliable engineering excellence and ISO, nuclear and HSE certifications together with compliance requirements.”
BusinessPort said it would also be increasing staffing this year.
