UK Energy Minister Charles Hendry is to be keynote speaker at the British oil and gas industry’s annual awards ceremony.
He will address around 600 people at the Oil & Gas UK Awards on Thursday, November 8, and present winners with their prizes.
The event, sponsored by Shell UK, is being held at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. The nominations deadline is Friday, August 10.
Entries are being sought for five categories – overall excellence and young technician both recognise young people who have shone early in their careers, while the mentoring award is for more experienced individuals.
Two accolades are given to companies. The people development award is given in recognition of a company’s efforts in developing its staff, while the business efficiency award rewards streamlined working and sustainability.
