Aberdeen energy service firm Meta said yesterday it had signed deals worth about £10million in the first half of the year.
Meta, which focuses on downhole isolation, said it had won work in oil and gas regions including the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico and Middle East.
It comes after Meta was launched at the start of the year, when Read Well Services was split into two sister companies.
Meta moved into its current headquarters at the Aberdeen Energy Park at Bridge of Don after splitting with Read Cased Hole, which provides downhole well assurance. Meta chief executive Kevin Stewart said: “These contracts mark a significant milestone for the company as it sees us exceed our projected annual turnover in just six months.
“It is also noteworthy in terms of our global operations strategy. Prior to the restructure of Read Well Services, which led to the launch of Meta, the company’s focus was primarily on the North Sea market.
“However, international markets such as the US, the Middle East and the Far East are a key focus for us and form an integral part of our ongoing growth strategy. These wins see Meta successfully securing work in all of these areas.”
