Energy services company Senergy has said it expected improved performance in the current financial year thanks to rising exploration and production spend worldwide.
In annual reports just published by Companies House, Aberdeen-based Senergy Holdings said its geographical spread meant it was in a good position to take advantage of this increased investment.
The company added its activities in west Africa and the Middle East had been disrupted by unrest and conflicts during the period, but were now returning to normal.
The firm’s accounts revealed rising turnover in the 12 months to May 31, 2011, but a fall in profits.
Senergy, which employs around 580 people, turned over £107.7million in the latest period, up from £80.2million in the previous year. Operating profits dropped to £2.9million from £3.2million, while pre-tax profits fell to £2.1million from £2.8million.
