Energy service company Technip has announced the start of the next phase of £11.8million redevelopment works at its UK HQ at Westhill, near Aberdeen.
Part of the site will be demolished to make way for a new building due to be completed next August.
The project will see the construction of a 60,000 square-foot building – with extensive office space, including meeting rooms and emergency-response facilities plus restaurant, coffee shop and gym – and 1.5-storey car park, adding about 450 spaces. On completion of the new building, existing buildings will undergo refurbishment.
Technip UK managing director Bill Morrice said: “The next stage of the expansion of our new facilities is an important step for us as we aim to ensure we continue to be in the best possible position to meet our clients’ developing needs, both now and in the future.”
Robertson Group is the main contractor.
