New technologies aimed at helping the subsea industry overcome the many challenges it faces go on show in Aberdeen next month.
Norwegian energy service firm Aker Solutions is hosting the technology day for customers, contractors and suppliers at its Dyce facility.
Around 150 industry professionals are expected to attend the October 9 event, which will feature a series of technical presentations and tours to showcase Aker’s new and existing products and technologies.
Four generations of subsea control modules which have helped to shape the North Sea industry in the past 30 years will also be on show.
Matt Corbin, Aberdeen-based managing director with Aker, said: “Our industry is constantly evolving and the requirement for new design and technology innovations is constant.
“Customer need underlies all of our current and potential future products, ensuring our expertise is applied today to take the industry to where it needs to be tomorrow.”
“There have been great technical strides taken in recent years. One of the prime objectives of our technology day is to engage with industry colleagues on how technology needs to keep developing to support the burgeoning growth of our sector.”
