Global plant, lifting and tool-rental specialist ATR said yesterday it had signed a deal to supply wire and rope products to North Sea customers.
ATR said the partnership with WireCo WorldGroup would allow it to sell the manufacturer’s products in the UK and add £5million to its annual turnover for the next three years.
ATR chief executive Keith Moorhouse called the deal an “ideal alliance”.
He added: “Significant demand across the energy sector has delivered a major growth opportunity for us through this partnership with WireCo and, as a result, we have made an initial investment of close to £500,000 in stock and specialist resources to ensure we are able to meet our client’s demands.”
ATR employs 120 people and currently has annual turnover of £22million.
John Josendale, senior vice-president at WireCo, said it signed the partnership with ATR because it was a key player in the market.
