An oil and gas industry gathering being held in Aberdeen next month will focus on ways to deliver “more for less” from producing fields.
The 18th Society of Petroleum Engineers/Intervention and Coiled Tubing Association (ICoTA) European Well Intervention Conference will feature presentations from companies including BP, ConocoPhillips, Shell, Statoil, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Weatherford, Expro, Halliburton and BG Group.
Topics covered will include in-well communication technology, scale removal using coiled tubing, well abandonment on unmanned installations, new approaches to predicting downhole perforating performance and Oil and Gas UK’s well integrity guidelines. ICoTA will also present its prestigious European Chapter Innovation Award.
Last year’s conference was attended by more than 400 industry professionals attended from throughout Europe.
The 2012 conference edition takes place at Aberdeen’s Exhibition and Conference Centre on November 14 and 15.
Event chairman Callum Munro said: “It is critical that oil and gas professionals share their experience, knowledge and expertise with industry peers to achieve the maximum potential from the region, overcome operational challenges and ensure sustainability for the long term.”
