Aberdeen energy consultant Xodus Group is on course to nearly double turnover this year thanks to international expansion.
The firm said growth in the Netherlands, the US and Norway, as well as a strong performance in its home market, would all help it achieve its £60million target for 2012.
It comes as company accounts just published reveal Xodus enjoyed a rise in turnover and operating profits last year.
Stephen Swindell, chief operating officer at Xodus, said: “Xodus Group is on track to achieve its expected turnover of £60million in 2012. This is based on rapid growth in the Hague, plus activity ramping up in the Houston and Norway offices.
“The UK region has seen continued steady growth and we now employ more than 500 people across the company.”
Accounts for last year show Xodus turned over £35million, up from £28.2million in 2010.
Operating profits increased slightly to £2.4million from £2million, but pre-tax profits fell to £2.4million from £5.5million. The 2010 pre-tax figure was boosted by Xodus’ £3.5million sale of its investment in Xodus Group PTY during the year.
The group said yesterday that new office openings would also boost this year’s strong performance.
The firm has opened bases in Perth and Dubai, where chief executive Colin Manson is now based.
Xodus’ Aberdeen headquarters are overseen by Scotland operations director Graeme Rogerson, although Mr Manson said he would be in the UK as much as in Xodus’ other regions.
