Abu Dhabi national energy company Taqa said yesterday it had become operator of the Cladhan discovery.
Taqa’s interest in the licence is 40.1%. The operator was previously Sterling Resources (UK). Taqa Bratani managing director Leo Koot said: “This is an important step for the company as it represents a major new field-development project to be operated by Taqa Bratani on behalf of itself and joint-venture partners. We look forward to working with those partners to build on the successful exploration work already done by Sterling.”
