Having just settled into its new Aberdeen premises, seals technology specialist Freudenberg Oil & Gas is planning further growth, including creating more jobs.
The company moved into its £250,000 Howe Moss Drive facility in Dyce, the company is predicting that its turnover for the year-end will come in at £1.5million.
However, besides usefully boosting the current north-east workforce of 14, the company is expecting turnover to rocket.
John Dick, general manger of Freudenberg Oil & Gas UK, said: “Our Aberdeen team currently stands at 14 members of staff but we expect to see an increase of around 25% in the next 12 months and are hoping to increase turnover by 200% by 2014.
“This is an exciting time for us and we will continue to build on the product line and services we offer to our client base. Aberdeen continues to be a key driver for Freudenberg.”
As a result of the April relocation, the firm has nearly 7,000 sq ft of additional manufacturing and service space, to which has been added new manufacturing systems including a milling machine.
Office space is also up by 3,000 sq ft to accommodate the company’s growing technical team and to facilitate a training room.
As part of its further strategic expansion plans, Freudenberg Oil & Gas acquired Scott-Matrix, a Newcastle-based manufacturer of elastomeric sealing solutions for the oil and gas industry in August this year.
According to Dick, the company plans further investments in its core competencies of materials science, process control and manufacturing excellence.
Headquartered in Houston, Freudenberg has satellite operations in Canada, Dubai, Houston, Norway, Singapore and of course the UK.
