CNR International (CNRI) has agreed a contract to extend its Aberdeen-led operations offshore the Ivory Coast.
The firm has extended a deal with BW Offshore for the use of the floating production vessel Espoir Ivoirien for another four years on the Espoir field, until at least the second quarter of 2017.
It has also increased its option period on the Espoir Ivoirien through to 2036.
The Espoir Ivoirien collects oil produced from the East Espoir and West Espoir reservoirs about 37 miles south west of Abidjan.
The Espoir field, which started production in 2002, is operated by CNRI in partnership with Tullow Oil and Petroci Holding.
CNRI added that a third phase of drilling operations is about to start on Espoir, including an infill campaign in the field, initially targeting five producers and three injectors.
