Signal2noise helps clients communicate using video, animation and digital media.
It was set up last year by Jayson Clarke, 43, and business partner, Jamie Baikie, 38. The pair had previously produced programmes for the oil and gas industry and the likes of the BBC, Channel 4 and Discovery Channel. They now hand-pick teams to travel the world, filming corporate videos and documentaries.
Creative director Mr Clarke said: “After coming out of the Army I studied at film school in Los Angeles before becoming a freelance writer and director. Fourteen years later, I’d reached the top of my tree here in Scotland and didn’t want to move to London, so decided to set up a production company.”
He recruited Mr Baikie as senior producer.
Having recently shot a documentary on piracy in Dubai and India, the duo are producing videos for Technip, Seafish, and Stork Technical Services.
Business Gateway has helped them on their way.
Clark Boles, a business adviser at Business Gateway, said: “Jayson and Jamie are experts in their field and their work is highly regarded across the world. Through one-to one-advice we were able to provide specific marketing and website guidance which has proven fruitful. We also gave general business plan and financial advice.”
