Aberdeen-based Accord Energy Solutions has more than trebled its turnover in only its second year of trading.
The hydrocarbon accounting company said yesterday it turned over £3.2million and also trebled its workforce in the year to the end of August.
Accord, which turned over £900,000 in its first year, now employs 25 people and has 10 associate consultants.
Director Alan Spence said Accord had now set its sights on £5million turnover and growing to a 50-strong team within two years.
Mr Spence, who set up the company with fellow directors Phil Stockton and James Arthur, said the firm’s employee-owned model had played a key part in its success.
He said: “Employee ownership is at the heart of what we do. The value of the business model is immense, particularly for a company like ours where our only resource is our people.
“We need to be able to attract really talented workers to continue to grow, and employee ownership allows us to do this. It has proved especially effective in helping to bridge the skills gap.
“We are a company where everyone has the opportunity to impact the business, not just the people at the top.”
