Aberdeen-based oil and gas logistics business Asco has announced its second deal this week after buying a minority stake in an American firm.
Asco said yesterday it had taken on an interest in Louisiana-based company Advanced Logistics, a marine and logistics management software company.
Asco declined to reveal the size of its stake, or how much it paid for it.
It comes after the north-east firm took over Australian business Oniqua MRO Analytics in a multimillion-pound deal.
Derek Smith, Asco’s chief operating officer, said the Advanced Logistics deal would provide growth opportunities for both partners.
He added: “At Asco, we want to reach new clients as well as provide more services to our current clients, particularly services which fit and complement our current portfolio.
“This partnership supports this ambition, and we look forward to working closely with Advanced Logistics to deliver more value for our oil and gas customers.”
