An accommodation platform from which staff had to be evacuated after it started listing is on its way back out to sea after repairs.
More than 320 employees were removed from the Floatel Superior early in November after a loosened anchor punched holes in two of the platform’s ballast tanks, causing the platform to list 3-4 degrees.
It was taken about 80 nautical miles to Kristiansund, Norway, for repairs and on Tuesday started its journey back to the Njord field in the Norwegian Sea
The crew will be returning to the platform, owned by Floatel International, whilst it is on the voyage.
