The Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) has signed a deal to carry out a large oil exploration project costing $30billion in the Persian Gulf, the Mehr News Agency has claimed.
The official government agency said that the project, which includes seismic operations, will be implemented across a 1,700 sq km area of the Persian Gulf, and that 12 exploration wells will be drilled in the Gulf’s joint oilfields.
