Aberdeen-based oil and gas consultant Maxoil Solutions has reported a successful past financial year.
Turnover jumped to £4.38million from £2.15million previously. The firm said several factors had driven its rapid growth.
In particular, it focused on expanding international operations, carrying out increased levels of work in the Americas, Europe and Australia.
During the year, Maxoil also enjoyed a rise in repeat business from clients and undertook larger, longer-term projects.
The firm’s workforce also expanded in the latest year to 40 from 35.
Managing director Mel Dow said: “We’re extremely pleased to have rounded off an exceptional year for Maxoil Solutions with the recording of a 102% increase in turnover.
“The achievement is the result of an ambitious international growth strategy, which involved us working hard to capitalise on opportunities identified in, for example, America and Australia.
“We look forward to building on our success and continuing to grow our business through entering fresh, until now untapped, geographical markets – including Canada, wider Europe and New Zealand – as well as specialist industry areas, such as heavy oil and shale gas.”
Maxoil offers process engineering and production chemistry consultancy services to the global oil and gas industry.
