Stork Technical Services Subsea has announced the opening of a dedicated operational hub at Stork’s UK headquarters in Aberdeen.
Stork Subsea has invested more than £1million in the site which houses the company’s fleet of dive-intervention craft and technology, a bespoke dive-test centre for the calibration and certification of specialist equipment plus office space.
The investment comes near the end of a record year for Stork Subsea, which has seen the division increase its workforce by one-third to more than 250 onshore and offshore employees and double its annual revenue, which is forecast to reach £50million.
This growth has been driven by contracts secured for integrated IRM (inspection, repair and maintenance) activity in UK waters, west Africa and the Mediterranean.
Roddy James, subsea director at Stork Technical Services, said: “We have experienced significant growth in the past year and investing in our new operational hub was a key requirement for our future expansion plans. The facility will improve the efficiency of our onshore logistics and help us meet the continued and growing demand for our integrated subsea services.”
