Qedi has been awarded a decommissioning management service contract for three platforms in BP Norway’s Valhall development.
The work – understood to be worth a five-figure sum to qedi – starts this month with the decommissioning of the Valhall production and compression platform, followed by the drilling installation and living quarters structure, and is expected to run until 2018.
Qedi is to use its GoTechnology suite of project-management applications; software designed to deliver technical integrity standardisation.
Barry Cann, qedi’s managing director, said: “We are delighted to have received this contract award and look forward to building on our existing relationship with BP Norway. We are proud to be championing innovative technology which has great potential for use across the oil and gas decommissioning market.”
Qedi is an oil and gas completion and commissioning service company and belongs to international engineering and project-management group Amec.
