Gerrit Zalm has been appointed a non-executive director at Royal Dutch Shell (aka Shell) with immediate effect. He is chairman of the board of management of ABN Amro Bank NV, a position he has held since February 2009 and which he hopes to keep pending a vote at the bank’s agm in May.
